Here's the finished version of my TrueType font !
I completed the character-set, and now it's perfect to write French text.
Click on "Download to Desktop" to download the font. Then put sweeep.ttf in your Fonts folder
Here's the full caracter-set, and a Lorem Ipsum sample.

2005-06-07 - Fixed a height problem for p and q

anyway, if you use my font please just show me what you did with it, i'm interested. I don't wat money, i just want to see a work !
but then it does look a bit like Courier an i cant stand that font either. Dont get me wrong it has its place but so many people use it cos it looks 'old' or like, as someone has already said, typewriting!!
My main issue is that if someone wants a font that 'looks' like a typewriter font then why not jus type it out on a typewriter and scan it in instead of makin somethin which 'looks' like it!
It seems that in this day an age so many people are so quick to jump onto the computer thinkin that it will solve all of their problems an make them a 'designer', an that simply isnt the case. As you can tell this is an issue that i have thought about a lot, sorry dont feel like i am gettin at you!!lol
Its not so bad i guess, jus looks wrong in places....unbalanced an certain letters really dont look like they would sit well together, i know that is supposed to be the idea but typographically it doesnt work.
ANYWAY, its nothin personal i assure you....plus we are all here to offer our opinions i guess, an this is jus mine. I guess criticism helps us all improve?

You're right, it looks a little like Courier, because i watched the Courier font on my screen, then i drew it with a marker on a paper.
I didn't create this font to replace the typewriter (and typewriter fonts), because in fact i don't even think it looks like a typewriter font...
Typography (on computer or not...) is something that really interests me, and this is my first finished font (I once tried to create one, but i gave up, as you might guess, it was a handwriting script... like any people who wants to create its first font). This time, i wanted to finish my work, so that's why you can see this font here...
At the beginning, i was not going to create a font... i was just training to draw letters on a paper.
But i digitalized it, and someone told me i should share it, so that's what i did...
Regarding the shape of the letters, I know that some letters look fuckin' bad (R, K, k, m,...), but i'll try to give them a better shape when i'll find some time...

Effectivement ça donne un peu dans le Comic sans MS (aspect manuscrit) couplé à l'effet "typewriter" du Courrier...
